Hiperboreal
Pedro Gabriel Beas

Hiperboreal means "beyond the North" and was started by P.G. Beas in 1997 as a downtempo electronica project. Around 1999, the sounds of urban Tijuana crept into the mix as Pedro began sampling the instrumentation of norteņo and tambora music, as well as the use of diferent vocals, as he joined with other Tijuana electronic music projects to form part of the Nortec Collective.

P.G. Beas also has other musical avenues in the form of his BabelFish Trio project and guest spots on tracks by Discar. To This day, Hiperboreal continues to experiment with the Nortec sound and has released tracks on various records labels
