This CD takes it's title from the series of improvisation based events in
which Latinsizer, Mendoza,
tre/molo and Point Loma, alternate projects from
members of the Nortec Collective, participate. These gigs are used to
explore other styles not fully pursued on their Nortec tracks as well as the
chance to do slightly more experimental work. Random V1 contains versions of
tracks played during these gigs and some written specifically for this
collection, such as a track by Babelfish Trio and a remix to a Las Cajas del
Ritmo track done by Manrico Montero.
